Law firm Dykema Gossett has increased the size of its Chicago office by 60% to 107,000 square feet, five months after 53 lawyers joined Dykema from shuttered Schwartz Cooper.
The new, 15-year lease will put lawyers from both firms in one location in July, after the additional space is ready.Â
Since July, the former Schwartz Cooper lawyers have been working at their former firm’s offices. Roughly a dozen lawyers from Schwartz Cooper did not join Dykema.
With 130 lawyers, Chicago is the largest office for Dykema, which was founded in Detroit in 1926. The firm has about 400 lawyers and 10 offices nationwide.
