The partnership of London-based Clifford Chance LLP LLP has elected David DiBari, a partner in the firm’s litigation group, to managing partner of the firm’s 52-lawyer Washington, DC office.
DiBari replaces Leiv Blad, after Blad left in November for Boston’s Bingham McCutchen. Along with Blad, two other Clifford lawyers — Boyd Cloern, and Jon Roellke — also left Clifford Chance for Bingham’s DC office.
Since Blad left the firm, Clifford’s regional managing partner Craig Medwick has assumed the responsibilities of both the New York and Washington offices.
Clifford Chance LLP is the largest law firm in the world, both by number of lawyers and revenue, and a component of the UK’s “Magic Circle” of leading law firms. It is a prestigious international practice with its principal office at Canary Wharf in London.
