The University of Texas at Austin School of Law conferred more law degrees on Hispanic students than any other school in the US in 2007, according to The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education.
UT Austin graduated 82 Juris Doctors. Florida’s Nova Southeastern University law school is in second place with 65 Hispanic degree conferees. American University’s law school in the District of Columbia and the University of Miami’s law school in Florida tie for third place with 50 each.
UT Austin also tops the list of law schools with the largest Hispanic enrollment, 226. However, on the Top 25 list, Florida International University again has the greatest percentage of Hispanics enrolled, 44 percent.
Each year, The Hispanic Outlook reports on the law schools conferring the most degrees on Hispanics. This year, they also published a Top 25 list of schools enrolling the most Hispanics student pursuing a first professional degree in law.
