Steven R. Gursky and lawyers from the Gursky Group are leaving Dreier LLP for New York’s Olshan Grundman Frome Rosenzweig & Wolosky.
The Gursky Group was the trademark, copyright and unfair competition arm of the Dreier law firm.
Gursky is a real estate and intellectual property specialist, with a particular emphasis on anti-counterfeiting in the apparel industry.
Olshan Grundman Frome Rosenzweig & Wolosky, a mid-size law firm with an office in midtown Manhattan, says the move will expand its intellectual property, litigation and real estate practices. The firm provides expertise in corporate and securities law, real estate, litigation and bankruptcy and creditors’ rights.
The founder of the New York-based Dreier firm, Marc S. Dreier, has been accused of scamming hedge funds and other investors out of $380 million.
Before joining Dreier, Gursky served as managing partner at Gursky & Partners.
