Arent Fox has hired away a seven-lawyer telecommunications group from Womble Carlyle.
The group, making up roughly half of Womble’s telecom practice, consists of partners Ross Buntrock, Jonathan Canis, and Michael Hazzard; counsel Stephanie Joyce; and associates Joseph Bowser, Adam Bowser, and Katherine Barker-Marshall.
This week Womble Carlyle let go an undisclosed number employees, at least 20 associates and staff. And the firm has cut pay by as much as 10% for “under-performing†lawyers, first- and second-year associates, and incoming associates.
