Freshfields Will Not Hire 30% of Incoming Trainees

London’s Freshfields will only hire 70% of its September 2009 trainees.

Fourteen of the class of 48 trainees set to start this Fall in London will not be retained. Those affected have been notified by phone.

The firm deferred start dates in February, and froze associate pay at 2008 levels.
