Last week we reported that Morgan Lewis was not making any offers to its summer associates in the Washington DC office. i After the firm put out a statement to the contrary, we updated our report. Now Morgan Lewis has released its firm wide numbers, and they aren’t pretty.
Of the 102 eligible summer associates, Morgan Lewis made offers to 28. These offers are to start in 2011, a year later than would normally be expected, due to the deferrals of the 2009 class to 2010. The firm did not release city by city offer rates and still plans to both forgo on campus recruiting this year and to change associate compensation models to a performance based standard with lower base pay.
