David Shapiro and Alan Holmer are returning to private practice.

Shapiro, who was senior counsel of domestic and international financial products in the Treasury’s Office of Tax Policy will be joining the firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He becomes a partner in its international tax services group in Washington where he will use his expertise in tax law to advise clients on tax implications in buying and selling financial products.

Holmer, who was Special Envoy to China, is joining the Washington DC botique firm of Saltman & Stevens. He has a diverse background including international trade, forestry issues and pharmaceuticals, along with expertise on matters relating to China.
