Anyone that’s ever hunted for a job has heard this phrase a few times, but I always secretly suspected the file that was being used was circular and emptied on a regular basis. Today we get the oddly amusing story of DePaul College of Law that was apparently serious about keeping your application on file… indefinitely. Due to a glitch in their computer system, anyone and everyone that has applied to DePaul, including attorneys that have long since graduated from other schools and are out practicing somewhere, received an email from the school. If you’ve ever applied to DePaul, they will be reviewing it mid-November. Assuming of course that they don’t track down the glitch in the meantime…
