Jeffrey Lamken, whose previous positions include clerking for Sandra Day O’Connor, seven years with the Solicitor General’s office and most recently head of Baker Botts’ Supreme Court and appellate practice, has left the firm to open a boutique with longtime friend Steven Molo. The new firm, which will have offices in Washington DC and New York, will be called MoloLamken.

Lamken has argued 17 cases before the Supreme Court and is listed as counsel of record for three cases set to be argued before the Court this year, although it is unclear at this time if they will follow him to his new firm.
