Former Washington DC Attorney General Linda Singer along with her former chief of staff Betsy Miller have signed on with Cohen Milstein to form a public client practice group. The new practice will serve as outside counsel for state attorneys general for litigation across a broad spectrum of areas.
Singer, who joins Cohen Milstein as a partner, is perhaps best known for arguing the losing side in the seminal 2nd amendment case D.C. v Heller in which the Supreme Court held that the right to bear arms was an individual and not a collective right.
Miller comes to Cohen Milstein as of counsel. In addition to being Singer’s chief of staff, she has also worked for Jones Day and served as counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee.
