The firm did not hide behind performance reviews or make excuses for the layoffs; the memo made it very clear that this is a purely economic decision and that they regret having to let go of talented hard working attorneys and staff. Mention was also made of a comprehensive compensation package that will include salary and medical coverage continuation, but was short on specifics.
