As the result of a change in partnership, the firm previously known as KamberEdelson is now Edelson McGuire. Its newest partner, Myles McGuire, has been with the firm six years and replaces Scott Kamber, who departed the New York office to launch KamberLaw.
Managing partner Jay Edelson said in a press release that he and Kamber, who were partners for two years, “continue to be good friends, both personally and professionally,” and “we are both strongly committed to the protection of consumer rights..the fact we have different visions for our respective firms will do nothing to change that.”
Also joining Edelson McGuire is labor and entertainment attorney Barry Jay Reiss, who previously served as an officer at CBS Records, Arista Records and others. Reiss will serve as the firm’s New York presence, according to the release.
The firm also added William Gray as an associate at its Chicago office. He was previously an associate at Sidley & Austin. Edelson McGuire also has offices in California and Florida.
