GM lawyer Rod Gillum has joined Jackson Lewis, the second largest employment law firm in the U.S. The firm announced on February 10 that Gillum joined their Detroit office as a partner. Gillum retired from GM in October. Throughout his 30 year career at the corporation Gillum held a variety of positions, most recently he was vice president of corporate responsibility and diversity. Gillum also managed the National Labor Relations Board docket as well as other litigation matters, and supervised the employee benefits section. He served as the first vice president and general counsel of Saturn Corp, and was the chief personnel, labor relations and benefits attorney for GM.
Jackson Lewis is looking to Gillum to help clients promote diversity in the workplace. Jackson Lewis has over 600 lawyers in 45 offices nationwide.
