Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard& Smith has added to its New York office with a 16-person team from Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker. The group includes Gregory S. Katz, who was the deputy managing partner at his former firm’s New York office, the National Law Journal reports.
Katz joins the general liability practice group along with six other partners. They are Robyn Gallert, Jennifer Oxman, Bryan Schwartz, Adam Schwartzstein, Patricia Alarcon Demetri and James Whalen. The National Law Journal reports Meredith Friedler and Andrea Silk join the firm of counsel, and Nicholas Hurzeler, David Rosenthal, Sarah Rubin, Aija Tingling, Daniel Wang, Beth Weinberg and Kevin Zimmerman join as associates.
According to the story, Lewis Brisbois, which is based in Los Angeles, now has more than 75 lawyers in its New York office, which opened eight years ago. The firm has more than 750 attorneys in all with offices in Atlanta, Beaumont, Charleston, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Lafayette, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York, Orange County, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, Tampa and Tucson.
