According to today’s press release at PR Newswire, New York based law firm Duffy & Duffy, specializing in medical malpractice, won four cases named by Verdict Search’s “Top New York Verdicts of 2009.”
The list, published by Verdict Search, appeared in the April 26th edition of the New York Law Journal.
The case of Figueroa v. Southern, for which Duffy & Duffy secured a $19.7 million award for the plaintiff, ranked 12th on the Top 25 Verdicts of 2009. The case involved a Bronx resident who suffered from paralysis after his doctor failed to properly diagnosis a spinal abscess
