The third annual Legal Times Awards, which honors Washington D.C. lawyers for both business savvy and public service, were announced by the National Law Journal Monday. A total of 20 D.C.-area lawyers were named in two categories.

The first set, dubbed ‘Champions’, honors those who have upheld the profession’s core values through public service, pro bono efforts and civil liberties advocacy. The other, ‘Visionaries,’ singles out lawyers that have been played a key role in expanding their firms, improving government or advancing the law.

NLJ Editor-in-chief David Brown commented on the awards in a press release.
