EarthTimes: Former head of Nixon Peabody’s International Labor and Employment specialty team, Philip M. Berkowitz, will join Littler Mendelson to head up Littler’s own International Labor practice. The move serves to continue the firm’s aggressive expansion and its commitment to snapping up top talent.
Berkowitz, who as one Littler partner stated “has strong relationships with a vast number of labor and employment lawyers around the world,” also numbers among past and current clients top national and multinational corporations, for whom he provides expert training on labor and employment issues. In addition, his practice focuses on individual and classwide employment litigation on both the state and federal levels, as well as arbitrations before various regulatory bodies.
Littler Mendelson, founded in 1942, is the largest U.S. based law firm exclusively dedicated to employment and labor law matters. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, the firm has 750 attorneys in 48 offices nationwide.
