Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP announced that nine lawyers have joined the firm’s corporate practice in Chicago. The group of lawyers, which arrive from Greenberg Traurig and Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, will focus on expanding the firm’s private equity practice.
The nine lawyers joining the firm are Ryan McLennan, Amit Mehta, Paul Quinn, Richard Radnay, Brian Richards, Chris Sheaffer, Kim Thompson Smith, Jim Smulkowski, and Jeff Terry.
“The arrival of these highly experienced corporate lawyers to the Chicago office is evidence of our commitment to deepen the breadth and scope of services we can offer our clients,” said Elizabeth Noe, chair of Paul Hastings Corporate practice. “This group strengthens our global private equity and mergers and acquisitions practices.”
McLennan, Mehta, Quinn, Radnay and Terry were all shareholders at Greenberg Traurig. Quinn chaired that firm’s corporate practice in Chicago. Richards, Sheaffer, Smith and Smulkowski were all formerly partners at Katten Muchin. Richards was co-chair of the firm’s private equity practice.
