Fourteen attorneys in the Texas offices of McKool Smith were recognized in the 2010 Texas Super Lawyers list of the state’s top lawyers, the firm said in a press release Monday.
McKool Smith co-founder Mike McKool and firm principal Samuel Baxter were highlighted as two of the Top 100 attorneys in Dallas-Fort Worth and all of Texas.
To compile the Texas Super Lawyers listing, more than 70,000 lawyers from across the state were asked to nominate attorneys they consider as the best in the legal profession. The judging process continued with a screening by a blue-ribbon panel of lawyers. The final Texas Super Lawyers honorees represent fewer than 5 percent of all Texas attorneys.
“Each year, we seem to have more and more attorneys included in this list, and I believe that’s indicative of the hard work and dedication that every lawyer at this firm provides for clients on a regular basis,” McKool said.
The honored McKool Smith attorneys appearing in the October 2010 edition of Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Super Lawyers magazine include:
Peter J. Ayers, Austin
