In its inaugural law firm ranking, U.S. News and World Report and Best Lawyers ranked Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo among the top firms nationally and regionally in a number of practice areas.
Mintz Levin received first-tier national ranking in biotechnology law and first-tier metropolitan rankings, which ranks firms by geographic area, in the following practice areas: bankruptcy, biotechnology law, white-collar criminal defense, environmental and public finance.
In total, Mintz Levin received 26 rankings in the national and metropolitan categories.
Nearly 9,000 U.S. firms participated in the survey which ranked firms in one or more of 81 different practice areas. Clients and leading lawyers were asked to rank firms on their expertise, responsiveness, understanding of a business and its needs, cost-effectiveness, civility, and whether they would refer another client to a firm.
A combination hard data, peer reviews and client feedback contributed to a firm’s ranking. The national first-tier rankings will be featured in the October print issue of U.S. News & World Report.
