Ropes & Gray has bolstered its New York office with the addition of hedge funds lawyer Sarah Davidoff, formerly the co-chair of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan’s private funds group in New York.
Davidoff counsels clients on the formation, structure, re-organization, and operation of hedge funds and assists them with structuring compensation and related profit-sharing arrangements. Additionally, she has advised clients on the launch of feeder funds, institutional seed investments, and managed account programs.
Davidoff also focuses on the ongoing regulatory and compliance matters affecting her clients, guiding them through the more complex regulatory environment for hedge funds ushered in by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.
“Sarah is well versed in establishing and operating hedge funds,” said Laurel FitzPatrick, head of Ropes & Gray’ s hedge fund practice. “Her impressive skill set perfectly complements the interests of our globally situated investor clients—be they institutional firms, independent managers, or individuals. We are pleased to have her join our team.”
Ropes & Gray has more than 1,000 lawyers in professionals operating in offices in New York, Washington, D.C., Boston, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Chicago, London, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
