McDonald Hopkins LLC, a business advisory and advocacy law firm, has bolstered its Chicago office with the addition of Edward G. Quinlisk, who was formerly a partner at Jenner & Block. Quinlisk focuses in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity, and corporate counseling.
“We are delighted to have Ed Quinlisk join our Chicago office where he will provide valuable business insights to our national client base,” said Richard N. Kessler, managing member of the McDonald  Hopkins Chicago office, which relocated to the 300 North LaSalle building earlier this year to accommodate the firm’s continuing growth.
In the securities area, Quinlisk has worked on a variety of transactions, such as private placements, public stock offerings, registered split-offs, shelf registrations, Rule 144A placements, tender offers and going-private transactions. Â He is the co-author of the “Corporate Communications” chapter of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education publication, “Securities Law.” Â Quinlisk’s corporate experience also includes representing companies in complex business transactions, advising clients concerning private equity investments, corporate and securities matters, and corporate governance issues.
