Smith is part of the litigation department at Barnes & Thornburg. Her area of practice focuses on complex commercial lawsuits and construction litigation matters. Smith graduated summa cum laude at Valparaiso University School of Law in 2003, where she served as executive managing editor of the Valparaiso University Law. She graduated from the Ardath Burkhart Governance and Management Series in May 2008 under the United Way Leadership United program. Smith has been a member of National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Indiana Chapter since 2004 and is currently the vice chair of the board of trustees.
