Bruce Bennett is leaving the firm he helped found, Hennigan Bennett & Dorman, and moving to Dewey & LeBoeuf. Bennett and Michael Hennigan founded the bankruptcy boutique, which will now call itself Hennigan & Dorman, in 1995.
Moving with Bennett are partners James Johnston, Sidney Levinson, Bennett Murphy, Joshua Mester; Counsel Joshua Morse and counsel Monika Wiener; and three associates. Joshua Morse will work out of San Francisco, and the other nine will be in Dewey’s LA office.
Bennett is best known for being lead debtor’s counsel for the bankruptcy of Orange County, the largest municipal bankruptcy in our history.
