Locke Lord Bissell &Liddell is reporting flat revenues for 2010 but an 8.5% increase in net income. Profit per partner was just under $1 million, but because 2009’s ppp was reported based on August head counts compared to this years use of a full year’s worth of data, no comparison is possible.
In 2009 Locke Lord reported $399 million in revenue compared to 2010’s $396.4 million, less than a 1% swing. Net income jumped a little more than $10 million, from $128 to $138.9 million in the same time period. Firm chair Jerry Clements said that the firm’s partners are pleased with the results and pointed to REIT, white-collar crime defense, internal investigations, health care, appellate, insurance transactional and regulatory as well as various litigation practices as the firm’s strong practice areas in 2010.
