President Obama to nominate Martin J Gruenberg (current FDIC Vice Chairman) to replace Sheila Bair as Chairman of the Banking Regulator according to the White House. The nomination requires Senate confirmation. Gruenberg has held various important posts like senior counsel, Senate Banking Committee, congressional aide in the past. Ms. Bair’s term ends in July and she wishes to leave the commission.
