Tunisia court upholds conviction of Imed Trabelsi, businessman and nephew of ex-president Ben Ali. The court sentenced Trabelsi on charges of consumption and possession of drugs for four years in prison and a fine of 3,000 dinar. Tunisia has been cracking down on Ben Ali’s family since he fled the country to Saudi Arabia in January due to heavy protests. Many Tunisians believe that he has amassed substantial wealth at their expense during his 23-year autocratic rule. Ben Ali denied the charges against him according to a statement released through his lawyer.
