Over the period of the last several years a somewhat disturbing trend has become prolific in the business world- that of law firms realizing that there is quick and easy money to be had in taking on large corporations who are preparing to or have recently merged with one another. Although the attorneys who create these lawsuits claim they are doing so only to help consumers reap their just rewards, the fact is that there is often very little work involved as many companies will settle out of court to avoid bad publicity.
