Businesses in U.S. are becoming increasingly weary of the jury system out of fear that ordinary citizens on the jury will not understand their point-of-view and give out unfair and huge settlements to the people who sue them. A good example of this is the lawsuit that KBR tried to keep out of the courtroom for almost four years. When the case did end up in court, KBR won.
