Have you all met my goldfish, Neville? I got Neville right when I moved here to Chicago. I’d always wanted a goldfish throughout college but I finally decided to get one last year. He’ll actually be turning one next tuesday, August 16th!
Since today is travel day and I’m headed home to KC for 8 days, I knew I couldn’t leave Neville alone for that long without food or friends. So Neville will be fish-sat by my brother and sister-in-law (and molly!). This is the second time Neville has made this long trek, the first being this past Christmas, and that walk was much chillier!

It was so hard to say goodbye to Molly today! She was on her best behavior! I’m not going to see her for a whole week, and I know she’ll get so big!
Next time you hear from me, I’ll be in Kansas City!
Side Note: Neville is named after the character in Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom. I felt they had similar personality traits. I chose Neville because he was the smallest goldfish in the tank, and he was staring at the corner…
