Rea and Lipkowitz have been recognized by both clients and the media for their exceptional contributions to the practice of law.

Rea focuses his practice on construction and real estate disputes, representing owners, developers and contractors of retail, commercial and industrial properties. During his career which spans nearly 20 years, Rea has also represented providers of financial services in a host of litigation matters, particularly including consumer class actions. He was instrumental in establishing and implementing the Maryland Business and Technology Case Management Program, which provides specially assigned judges and distinct litigation tracks for business and technology lawsuits in Maryland’s circuit courts.

Lipkowitz represents clients in the financial, retail and telecommunications industries in litigation involving contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, consumer class actions, mortgage fraud, lender liability, construction and products liability in various state and federal courts throughout Maryland and across the country. In 2010, she was named one of Maryland’s “Leading Women” and to the “VIP” list by The Daily Record.

Baltimore Office Managing Partner Charles O. Monk, II was quoted as saying in a press release at the firm’s website: “The combination of Don and Michelle’s legal experience and skills in construction, consumer finance and real estate litigation gives them a shrewd understanding of litigation trends and circumstances affecting Maryland’s real estate and commercial markets. They will provide clients with strategic insight and counsel based on their respective experience and knowledge. There is no doubt their addition to our Litigation team will only fortify and strengthen one of our most successful practices.”

Zankowski, an experienced litigator and transactional/contracts attorney, focuses her practice on construction, engineering, business, real estate development and environmental law. She has vast experience in navigating the legal and regulatory process necessary to bring construction and remediation projects to fruition. Also, she is skilled at handling transactional matters and facilitating contractual arrangements and business structures.

Most recently, Zankowski was a partner at Hinckley Allen Snyder LLP where she served as practice and deputy practice group leader of the Construction & Public Contracts Law Group.

Joseph F. O’Dea, Jr., chair of the Litigation Department was quoted as saying: “Doreen is a savvy and strategic attorney who has had significant experience representing clients invested in complex development projects. Whether it is building a bridge, tunnel or highway, a wastewater plant, an airport, or a university campus or medical facility project, Doreen’s track record shows she gets the job done to advance her client’s goals. We are excited that she is now a member of the Saul Ewing family.”
