Employers end up with the final paycheck. Employers are unaware of laws regarding final paycheck. When you quit or is fired, you should be paid for the number of hours you worked. There is no federal regulation that requires the company to pay immediately. There are different rules for final pay in different states. If your former employer does not follow the state law, you should also contact regulatory authorities.
