After the country rang in 2012, the United States has a new kiss seen around the world in Times Square, with apologies to the Victory over Japan Day sailor and the nurse photo.
Lady Gaga and Mayor Michael Bloomberg shared a kiss in front of billions of people as they launched the New Year’s ball towards 2012. The kiss was delightful in what was a bizarre image. Gaga was decked out in a sequined mask while the mayor wore a sweater with the American flag on it.
The pair was not a random choice either, as Bloomberg chose Gaga as his accomplice to drop the ball just a couple of days earlier. This could mean that the two have a previous friendship with each other. This causes one to wonder what the two were talking about while on the stage. Lady Gaga will not reveal the conversation but did tweet that, “I cant even quite describe what tonight felt like. Sort of poetic madness. A dream come true. Moments recalling a leather taking the subway.”
