Pat Robertson, the Christian conservative leader, claims he has received a message from God that told him who the next president of the United States will be:
“I think He showed me about the next president, but I’m not supposed to talk about that so I’ll leave you in the dark — probably just as well — but I think I know who it’s gonna be,” Robertson said Tuesday on the Christian Broadcasting Network’s “700 Club.”
Robertson used his television time to recite the message that he supposedly received from God. Supposedly, God does not support the agenda of President Barack Obama. Robertson also said that prayer will help to bring about a new leader who will prevent the country from disintegrating. The message from God to Robertson can be read below:
“Your country will be torn apart by internal stress. A house divided cannot stand. Your president holds a radical view of the direction of your country which is at odds with the majority. Expect chaos and paralysis. Your president holds a view which is at the odds with the majority — it’s a radical view of the future of this country, and so that’s why we’re having this division. This is a spiritual battle which can only be won by overwhelming prayer. The future of the world is at stake because if America falls, there’s no longer a strong champion of freedom and a champion of the oppressed of the world. There must be an urgent call to prayer.”
It is not uncommon for Robertson to jump into the political world along with his evangelism. At a previous time he counseled the GOP presidential candidates so they would avoid running into radical territory while operating their campaigns.
“Those people in the Republican primary have got to lay off of this stuff,” he said back in October. “If they want to lose, this is the game for losers.”
Robertson has been very vocal when it comes to issues like gay rights, which are very visible in Iowa. Gay marriage rights are opposed by the entire GOP field, which has drawn protests all over the campaign trail in the state of Iowa. Iowa had recently legalized unions of this nature.
Robertson recently said that gays can ‘un-acquire’ their sexuality. This is just one of the comments recently made by Robertson that has angered the gay community of Iowa and the entire country.
Robertson went on to say that the downfall of the country will be started by an economic collapse, which was told to him by God. God also told Robertson that this would happen if Obama is elected to another term.
“And God said, this is not my judgment, they are bringing it upon themselves,” Robertson explained.
