In an update to a story we first brought you yesterday, Halle Berry is not officially engaged after all. The ex-girlfriend of Olivier Martinez, Kylie Minogue, did tweet to congratulate her ex on his engagement to Berry but sources are saying the couple is not planning to get married anytime soon.
There are multiple reports saying that the ring on Berry’s hand is not an engagement ring. Instead, Martinez gave Berry the emerald and diamond ring as a gift.
The couple does not have any plans to get married at this time even though they are in a committed relationship and admit that marriage could occur sometime down the line.
It is a complete guess as to whether or not the ring is an engagement ring because Berry continues to wear it on her left ring finger. If you do not know the tradition, this finger is the one dedicated to an engagement ring and a wedding ring. When asked about the possible engagement, representatives for Berry did not comment. On the other hand, representatives for the jewelry who manufactured the ring did say that the couple is engaged.
Berry has a three-year-old daughter named Nahla with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. She has also been married twice. Berry and Martinez met in 2010 when they worked as co-stars on the movie ‘Dark Tide,’ which will be released later in 2012.
