After a man refused to end an extramarital affair, a former NASA specialist drove 250 miles to shoot and kill the woman with whom her husband was having the affair.
Shannon O’Roark Griffin supposedly left a marriage counseling session in Kansas on Friday after her husband, Roscoe Griffin, said that he was having an affair and that he was not going to end the affair. He also told his wife during the session that he wanted to get a divorce.
Later in the afternoon, O’Roark Griffin, 52, went to the home of 46-year-old Irina Puscariu, a psychiatrist living in Kansas City, Missouri. O’Roark Griffin shot her in the face three times. Puscariu’s mother was home at the time of the shooting and witnessed the entire incident.
It could be possible though that the affair was over by the time O’Roark Griffin arrived at the home in Kansas City. One of Puscariu’s friends, a retired Kansas City police officer, said that the affair was ended by Puscariu when she found out that Griffin was married. Griffin is a retired Air Force colonel.
O’Roark Griffin was caught by officers from the Kansas Highway Patrol near Wichita. She admitted that she was carrying two unloaded handguns with her in the car. She is being held on $1 million bail for first degree murder charges.
