Executive director of the Jacksonville Children’s Commission, Linda Lanier, will step down from her post in March in order to spend more time with her family. Linda, 62, has held the post for 8 years, and her leaving sparks a time of transition for the organization. Mayor Alvin Brown has organized a merging of the Children’s Commissioner with the Jacksonville Journey, with a new director reporting to the mayor.
