YouTube sensation, Honey Badger, decided to revel his face in a new video.
TMZ caught video this hilarious superstar on the street. As he stood on the streets speaking to the reporter, he shared some of his beliefs about the Honey Badger. He felt that it represented himself and several people throughout the country. By relating to the honey badger, he felt that he could better connect with the distressed citizens of this nation.
Randall, the infamous Honey Badger narrator, accumulated 30 million hits on the video all while dodging the spotlight. In the video, he did a flamboyant and hilarious dub of the Natural Geographic special on the animal.
In 2002 the Guinness Book of Records claimed that the honey badger is the most fearless animal in the world. Its reputation in its native Africa is that, pound for pound, it’s the most fearless animal. It eats everything from honey to cobras without a second thought. It has landed in folklore and fireside stories over the years, and has gained even more popularity with Randall’s narration.
Randall is currently writing a new book, and there are rumors of an animated television show based on the Honey Badger. Guess his identity couldn’t stay a secret forever. Below is a transcript of the TMZ’s interview with Randall.
Q: How did you get started with the honey badger?
A: Well, it was my assistant who showed me the original honey badger video. And I was like, “The narration is so mundane and stupid. This animal is eating cobras, demolishing animals and this narrator is so boring!” So I said, “Ya know, we’ve got to spice some things up a bit.” Ya know, I’ve always had a natural talent for narration. I figured what better animal to start with than the honey badger, seriously.Q: So, why the honey badger?
A: Uh, ya know, I think because of today’s society, it’s an animal I feel that a lot of people can relate to. I think a lot of people are fed up. I think a lot of people want to be able to take what they want. And I believe firmly–and Harvey can tell you this, I bet you Harvey will be the first one to tell you this–everyone inside them has an inner honey badger just waiting to get out. They don’t care. They want to take what they want. And now is the time to do it!
