Photographs of Whitney Houston taken while exiting a nightclub just two days before her death clearly show long scratch marks on her wrists and blood dripping down her legs: not your everyday “all is well” scenario.
The autopsy report on Whitney is under locks pending the toxicology report, which might take weeks to arrive. Meanwhile, speculation runs rife on what could have motivated her to do an overdose.
Her last visit to Tru nightclub in Hollywood was clearly upsetting to the extent of physical trauma clearly indicated by wrist scratches and blood on her legs.
More news that are surfacing, indicate that on the Thursday preceding her death she seemed distinctly disoriented and not in control of her faculties. The Los Angeles Times reported that Whitney “appeared disheveled in mismatched clothes and hair that was dripping wet with either sweat or water,”: hardly the perfect image of a celebrity in the act of instructing juniors in the industry, singers Brandy and Monica, who were slated to perform in the Grammy Awards show.
The L.A. Times further reported that Whitney was seen “skipping around the ballroom in a child-like fashion and wandering aimlessly about the lobby.” She was also reported to be “doing handstands by the pool.”
According to a source of the Associated Press, the singer’s breath at the time was also heavily laden with the smell of alcohol and cigarettes.
Houston attended the Tru nightclub with her daughter and performed on stage singing “Yes, Jesus Loves Me” with singer Kelly Price.
Contrary to what is visible in the photographs making rounds on the Internet, Price, who performed with her last, said “Whitney on Thursday night was one of the girls. She was happy. She was the Whitney I always knew.”
