Beverly Hills police officers responding to the scene recovered six medicine bottles in Houston’s room. Those bottles included Amoxicillin and Xanax. Also retrieved from the room were ibuprofen and Midol. It also looks like Houston mixed her Xanax with alcohol and died from the mix, not as a result of drowning.
The week before her death, Whitney Houston visited her doctor three times. It has been released that those doctor visits did not include any illicit reasons to them though. One of the visits was because she was suffering from throat problems and another visit was because she needed a teeth whitening.
Houston visited her dentist for teeth whitening and a teeth cleaning because she was scheduled to work on a commercial for a candle company owned by her sister-in-law. Law enforcement officials have also said that Houston was not jumping from doctor to doctor looking for medicine prescriptions and that neither doctor broke the law when treating her.
While Houston was working on the musical track for the soundtrack of the movie ‘Sparkle,’ she developed a sore throat, according to her family and law enforcement officials. Those sources have said that she visited her doctor in order to have it examined, with the doctor issuing Houston a prescription for Amoxicillin.
