A woman has been arrested in Philadelphia in connection with an illegal injection scheme she was running. The scheme involved injecting people with buttocks-enhancements, which authorities belief to be silicone. A recent injection left one person sick in February and left one person dead who took a similar enhancement in 2011, according to police.
The suspect is identified as Padge Victoria Windslowe. She was arrested on Wednesday as she was prepping for a pumping party. At the party she was going to inject clients illegally with the buttocks enhancements. The charges she faces include deceptive practice and aggravated assault. One of her clients was an exotic dancer. The dancer had lung problems following one injection, according to Lt. John Walker of the Philadelphia police.
The suspect is also a person of interest in a London woman’s death. The woman passed away after receiving an injection from Windslowe at an unnamed hotel close to Philadelphia International Airport in 2011. Should the medical examiner find that the injection killed the woman from London, and then Windslowe will be charged with murder in that case. The London native who passed away was identified as Claudia Aderotimi. She had complained to others about chest pain and trouble with breathing after the injection.
It is believed that Windslowe has injected at least 14 people dating back to 2011. She has acquired the majority of her clients through word of mouth. Her recruiters would find people looking for butt enhancements by using emails, phone calls, and blogs. The recruiter would then schedule a time and place to meet, which commonly was at a hotel or a personal residence. The buttock enhancements cost anywhere from $700 to $1,800 and must be paid for in cash.
Officials said that Windslowe would clean the area for the injection and then put a substance into the buttocks of the client that she claims is silicone. Walker said that when the injection was finished, Windslowe would cover the injection area with glue to seal it from leaking. As police officers were escorting Windslowe from her home she did not comment to reporters about her arrest or her alleged ‘pumping parties.’ Instead, she said that the media would be hearing from her lawyers soon.
Police officers confiscated items such as vials of superglue, gloves, needles, bottles and other items. Police are still operating tests on the injection material Windslowe put into her patients to find out what it is and if it really is silicone.
