Jon Stewart has joined the Rush Limbaugh bashing party. He used his television show, ‘Daily Show,’ to take on Limbaugh. Stewart took an interesting spin on Limbaugh’s comments, one that many people should look into because he explains his view of Limbaugh’s comments as the following:
“Personally, I don’t get too worked up about the things Rush Limbaugh says because he is — and has been for many years — a terrible person.”
Stewart discussed the reaction from GOP presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney on his show. He also discussed the analysis from Fox News hosts Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly about Limbaugh’s comments on Sandra Fluke. Gingrich and Romney simply disagreed with the comments made by Limbaugh, especially the semantics used in the comments. Then, those on Fox News said that they did not see anything wrong with Limbaugh’s reasoning behind his statements. Stewart went on to say that the problem is not about sex. He said that it is about the healthcare initiative that would support women’s health when it comes to reproduction.
“To the people who are upset about their hard-earned tax money going to things they don’t like: Welcome to the f*cking club,” Stewart said. “Reimburse me for the Iraq war and oil subsidies and diaphragms are on me!”
