Putting rumors to rest, French actor Olivier Martinez confirmed to Miami Herald on Saturday that he and Halle Berry were firmly engaged and set to get married. “Yes, of course it’s true,” said Martinez to the media.

Martinez also set the record straight about the designer of the engagement ring Berry had been sporting since January. While previous unconfirmed reports had claimed the engagement ring to have been designed by Gurhan, Martinez clarified that the ring was designed by jeweler Robert Mazlo from Paris. He told the media that the Mazlo jewelers have designed jewelry for “kings and queens for many centuries.”

Berry and Martinez grew close and began dating each other in 2010 while working on the film “Dark Tide.” The film is slated for release this year.
