Racist Fans Criticize “Hunger Games” on Twitter

Well, some people never learn to read. And after recent research showing racists to be less intelligent than tolerant people on an average, what more could you expect from the makers of these comments who never cared to read that the three major characters in the series had dark skin color.

While the books never specifically use any racially distinguishing terms associated with their characters, the description of the characters shows them to be dark skinned:

“And most hauntingly, a twelve year old girl from District 11. She has dark brown skin and eyes …”

“The boy tribute from District 11, Thresh, has the same dark skin as Rue…”

However, some fans have been very upset that the characters in the film – Rue, Thresh, and Cinna, are black.

Well not just you kid, there’s many like you who lack reading comprehension abilities. And the number seems to grow bigger by the hour.
