The edgy pool, which goes right to the rim of the balcony, decks every apartment of the 27 story complex. Though housing in general is in a slump otherwise, this apartment complex hopes to bank on the itching urge of the rich to disburden themselves of some of their hardly earned money. The Imperial, for instance, another luxury apartment complex in the area, has managed to keep 90 percent of its 228 apartments filled.
Responses are mixed on the new design, which is still being built. Gizmodo writer Jesus Diaz calls design a “deadly accident waiting to happen,” and an “architectural nightmare,” saying “No matter what you want to call this, I would call it crazy.”
A writer for the mymodernmet site, is a little more appreciative, says that the design represented an “unbelievable skyscraping residential complex,” and that the pools were among its “most outstanding and eye-popping features.”
Whether a nightmare or a dream come true, the pools offer a little more space to splash your excess wealth, and that’s something most of us could use.
