I am jumping on this blog post trend as quickly as I can! Yesterday Chelsey wrote a post about her personality. We all like to say we “know” the bloggers that we follow, but do you really know me? Well here are 10 questions about my personality, see what you think!
And thank you, Chelsey, for being a genius. Didn’t think you’d start a trend, did you? Also, I originally wrote this post with no pictures, just answering the questions. And I thought it was way to serious and boring. So I added some of my more embarrassing photos I found on facebook, many from the early years of college… You’re welcome.
10 Questions About My Personality
1. When a cashier in the checkout line at the grocery store is being a grump for no reason, how do you typically react?
I actually react by being insanely nice. I used to work in a clothing store and would get so annoyed when people were rude! I love trying to make other people smile or have a better day, so I’m always sure to speak kindly, say thank you, and use eye contact when I do so!
2. Are you the type that likes going out with your girlfriends or staying in?
I love going out with friends… as long as I’m home by like 11pm. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for crazy nights out every once and awhile, especially if it’s a special occasion! But I am an early to bed, early to rise kind of girl and waking up at 10am hung-over just doesn’t sound like a blast to me anymore.
3. Do you sob and get emotional watching romance movies?
Oh gosh, yes. I hate when people see me cry, like cry for real. But give me an emotional TV Show, Movie or even commercial and the tears will be streaming down my face! There are two Office episodes, where Michael proposes to Holly and when Michael leaves, that I literally SOB every time. And I’ve seen each at least 4 times…
4. What stresses you out the most?
Oh good God, what doesn’t stress me out? I’m anxiety prone and I get stressed out about EVERYTHING. Ask my friends and family, it’s ridiculous. I have to remind myself to calm down and relax, things don’t have to be perfect and what’s the worst that could happen??
5. What do you think people think of you?
Oh dear. I think I actually come off as a bit rude, but that’s really because I’m not a generally chatty person when I’m at school and I’m pretty shy! I don’t strike up conversation often, so I think it comes across as I think I’m just too good for them, but honestly I’m either stressed out (ha) or I just suck at jumping in when there’s a group. But, on a more positive note, I think people think I’m also pretty funny (well, at least they know I think I’m funny…) and that I’m a pretty nice and loyal person.
6. When you overindulge do you hit the gym to burn it all off, or just accept the indulgence and follow your same routine?
I definitely used to overindulge and then hit the gym the next day trying to burn as many calories as possible according to the machines (which are completely wrong anyway). But now I’ve learned that I’m just hurting myself by doing that! You’re body will go into shock if you over-exercise and you’re not doing yourself any favors! It’s best to enjoy indulgences and stick to your normal routine – LIFE IS TOO SHORT! It’s like Ashley said yesterday, there is more to life than all these little things we worry about!
7. Are you easily annoyed?
It depends on my mood. If I’m in a good mood I really don’t let much get to me. However, if I’m in a bad/anxious mood, then everything annoys me! If you sit in class with me on a Monday, don’t you dare anxiously tap your foot or shake your leg… I might throw something at you.
8. What do you think is your biggest personality flaw?
That I am way to hard on myself. I expect myself to be perfect and then when I’m not, I really get down on myself about it. But this is definitely something I’m working on and reminding myself just to relax and be me! No one is perfect, life doesn’t have to be perfect, and I need to chill out sometimes! Can we say Type A?
9. What is one thing you don’t think people see enough of when it comes to your personality?
That am I really good at being sympathetic. I don’t know why but I have an ability to put myself in someone else’s shoes and understand where they are coming from. When I get mad at someone, I tend to catch myself pretty quickly and realize why they are acting a certain way. I’m also hilarious and very sarcastic. You have to spend a bit of time with me for it to come out, but it’s there. I got it from my mom 🙂
10. Can you feel relaxed in a busy crowd or messy room?
It depends. If I actually have to work and focus, then I can’t be in my apartment when it’s a mess. It drives me crazy until I finally clean up! Crowds, on the other hand, don’t bother me at all. I love working in Starbucks or even on the bus. Weirdly I feel pretty relaxed in big crowds.
Your Turn! Answer one of these questions about yourself!
I noticed I seem to do the “pursed lips face” way too much. What is an automatic weird face you go to when the camera hits?
Now go forth, and have a great day!
