A man from Bridgeton, New Jersey has been arrested for stealing underwear from laundry rooms at two apartment complexes in Pennsylvania. The man has been identified as 44-yearold Jeffrey A. Lloyd. He was arrested on Friday at the Goshen Manor Apartments in West Goshen, Pennsylvania. The search for the serial underwear thief began back in the fall, according to police. The initial case that started the search happened on November 17, 2011 at the Waterview Apartments in East Goshen Township. A woman reported to police that 26 pieces of her underwear were stolen during two separate incidents from the complex’s laundry room. Cameras on the property were able to capture images of the suspect but no one could identify the man.

A woman living there told the West Goshen Police Department that starting in September; a thief had taken close to 20 pieces of underwear from the laundry room of her apartment building. “It’s unbelievable, this should be a safe neighborhood for everybody. Our children are here playing and it’s just unreal,” said resident Christine Beckett.

“It’s crazy, it makes you feel unsafe, makes you feel like you can’t even do everything with where you live at. People going through your laundry? What else are they doing?” said resident Andrew MacDonald.

Lloyd was charged with four counts of theft by unlawful taking and four counts of receiving stolen property by the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department. Lloyd was arraigned and then freed on $5,000 bail. His preliminary hearing was originally scheduled for today but has been moved to a later date.
