Hey everyone! I’ve got a SCARY exam this morning (one of those that I know I’ll just want to forget it ever happened…) so my dear friend Maddie decided to share a recipe with you all so I could study! Aka get on pinterest… I do what I can.

Maddie was actually in a “bake-off” with some girls where she works and she entered this recipe! She ended up winning “Most Tasty,” which basically means she won. The other girls got awards for creativity, although I have to be honest, theirs were kind of adorable. But apparently didn’t taste so good… Haha I guess pinterest can only get you so far!

Makes about 16 Blondies

To make the Blondies:
½ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
¾ cup flour
1 t. baking powder
½ t. salt
1 t. vanilla
1 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

To make the Frosting:
1 cup chocolate chips
¼ cup butter
½ cup peanut butter
2 T. cream/milk
1 t. vanilla
¾ cup powdered sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Grease 8 x 8 square pan. Melt butter in small saucepan over
medium-low heat. Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved into butter. Set mixture
aside and allow to cool. Add egg, vanilla and salt. Fold in flour and baking powder,
adding white chocolate chips last, if desired. Spread blondie mixture into pan. Bake 18-
22 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Allow blondies to
cool.

To prepare the frosting, melt chocolate chips in microwave. Stir in butter, peanut butter
and cream into the melted chocolate. Once incorporated, slowly add powdered sugar.
Continue stirring together until smooth, add more cream/milk if needed.

Spread frosting over the cooled blondies. Allow to set in refrigerator. Cut into squares
and serve. Enjoy!

Have you ever been in a “bake off” or “cook off”?

If you had to make something for a bake off, what would you choose?
