Linda Evangelista, a former supermodel, has seen her child support case against Francois-Henri Pinault turn interesting to say the very least. Pinault is a French tycoon who works with luxury goods and is married to Salma Hayek now. Evangelista testified recently that Pinault told her she should get an abortion when she informed him that she was pregnant.
Pinault testified in the case as well and said the following when he was asked if he thought Evangelista purposely tried to get pregnant during their romance:
“Well, she can answer that, but, I guess so.†Pinault claims that the couple spent seven nights together during their romance.
The lawyer for Pinault said that Evangelista was “trying to bootstrap herself into disguised alimony.” The lawyer said she did this by requesting a large child support request from Pinault. Evangelista has requested $552,000 per year, which comes out to $46,000 per month, and this includes $175,000 for a personal bodyguard and a personal driver. It also includes $90,000 per year for a full-time nanny and a part-time nanny. Evangelista also would like her son, Augie, to have the same lifestyle as Pinault’s daughter Valentina. Valentina has a $12 million mansion in California sitting in a trust for her.
Pinault also testified the following:
“She told me that if I didn’t want to be involved in raising the kid or stay together and be parents together, she would understand, and she will take care of the kid. I told her that I would recognize the baby … and I will take my responsibility.”
